АА CD сменила свое название и стала Американской ассоциацией консультирования (АСА).

Больше внимания стало уделяться плюрализму и мультикультуральности в консультировании.

Достигнута большая открытость в обращении к вопросам духовности.

Возросло внимание к инструкциям и отчетности в консультировании.

Состоялось слияние Национальной Академии клинических консультантов в области психического здоровья с NBCC.

Консультанты добиваются признания в качестве основных поставщиков услуг в сфере психического здоровья при обсуждении и принятии реформ здравоохранения.

 

Задания для самостоятельной работы

 

1. Чем различаются термины консультирование, психотерапия и персональное руководство? Разделитесь на группы по три человека, пусть один из них доказывает, что эти термины одинаковы, а второй доказывает, что данные термины различны. Третий участник должен обеспечивать обратную связь между ними.

2. Какое десятилетие вы считаете наиболее важным для развития консультирования? Можно ли какое-либо десятилетие назвать наименее значимым? Дайте аргументированный ответ.

3. О чем из того, что вы знаете о консультировании в настоящий момент, вы прочитали впервые в этой главе? Обсудите, соответствует ли то, что вы узнали, вашим ожиданиям. Подробно обоснуйте свой ответ.

4. Ознакомьтесь более подробно с жизнью и влиянием отдельных деятелей консультирования. Можете выбрать одного из новаторов, упоминавшихся в данной главе или предложенных инструктором. Сообщите свою информацию однокурсникам.

5. Пригласите в аудиторию профессионального консультанта и поговорите о том, как он расценивает изменения в консультировании, происшедшие за каждое из десятилетий. Сравните впечатления вашего визитера с тем, что вам стало известно после чтения этой главы.
